Biblical meditation is crucial to the Christian walk. Joshua 1:8 says when you meditate on the Word, you set yourself up for success! This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Can you sense the power in that verse? God is saying if you do this ONE thing (meditate on the Word), you can succeed in every area of life. That’s because Biblical meditation causes the Word of God to become part of you. As you develop the habit of meditating on God’s Word, you’ll find yourself agreeing with God by thinking and acting in line with scripture. When you think and act in line with God, you will receive every benefit the Bible describes throughout its pages.
Biblical meditation goes beyond just reading scripture. It involves:
Speaking the Word of God
Thinking about the Word of God
Memorizing the Word of God
Visualizing the Word of God
Meditated on the word daily will help you on your journey to becoming successful in every area of your life.
